New AEM study finds Bricks 4 Kidz students improved in math and science

An AEM white paper issued today finds that students who participate in Bricks 4 Kidz in-school workshops and after-school programs demonstrated growth in targeted math and science skills.

Bricks 4 Kidz uses “specially designed project kits, theme-based models…[and] proprietary model plans” to provide LEGO®-based S.T.E.M. (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) instruction to children ages 3-13 at over 400 worldwide franchises.

AEM administered a pretest/posttest design that captured math and science ability and attitudes to 702 children at 7 Bricks 4 Kidz locations throughout the nation. The newly released study is the first independent large-scale investigation of Bricks 4 Kidz instruction.
